machine is a dell dimension 8250, OS MSwinXP sp3, HD c:\112GB, BIOS dell,A01, 10/22/02, NTFS, CDrom, CDRW,ZIP disc.511MB memory, Intelpro/100 network card, processor CPUOIntell Pentium 4 CPU 2.40GH,128DDR radeon 9700 TX wtv/out. chipsetATItech, system got just so far on saveing files with the recovery section and sat there for 4 hrs and did nothing. Saved files thru LapLink to new machine but want to get the old XP back to its basics. Went to a refered site from the BBS completed what I could and found that I had no F11 key at screen splash, just F2 & F12. F11 was to take me to a screen where I could revert back to old setup but loose files which was OK because they were saved to the new Win7 machine. Does anyone know of a way short of reinstalling from XP disk and drivers disk. Maybe there is a key combination other than the one's on the splash screen. Thanks people, if anybody can help it's you.

Dell started doing the Recovery Partitions about/approx 5 years ago. If the pc is older then that - Dell sent you cd's.
