I scanned my external hd with dr.Web and AVG to clean it up. Several viruses were found. I deleted and fixed everything but now I can't see the hd. I rebooted my PC but still, my computer will not even recognise that something is attached to it.

The hard drive works, the light is on and I can hear it spinning.

Look in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management and see if it is listed there, but may not have drive letter allocated (or just in Safely Remove Hardware).

Try connecting it to another computer, it should be free of viruses/malware, but be wary and scan it if it appears.

After that you will need to try and use the manufacturer's (Lacie) testing utilities to test it or find a way to use Windows testing utilites (eg, CHKDSK) on it.

Failing those, I would take the HDD out of the external enclosure and connect it into a desktop computer.
