Can't delete file in Windows Explorer

    when trying to delete a file in windows explore i get an error message saying 'explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows'...also, when i try to move the file or change the filename, it says that the filename is too long so i can do neither...i ran norton and the file is clean...what do i do?!?!?!

    Just a silly question really, but do you have this same problem after a reboot of the system?
