For the last month I am seeing a certain member, with intermediate experience and being a senior member, posting numerous threads and attempting to provide information which may not be correct.
I see this same members opening a new thread and is the only one replying to this thread 4-6 times, like the member is asking a question and then answering it.
So, my point is, is there anyone else that cares notice this?

It appears to simply reflect the number of posts someone makes and no way expertise....I oughta know, boy! ;)

And so, it is nothing to aspire to, cause it bears no meaningful distinction for the above reasons.

Do not sweat the small stuff!;)

Edit: OMG wait! Are you referring to I, Jilly???? OMG, just hit me that is possible! If so, does this upset you? I am truly sorry if it does.

Let me see if I can explain, if, OMG, that is, you mean I, Jilly. I am mainly self taught in this and a self starter. Also true in most things...for me, a self protective survival mechanism going back to my very early childhood.

So I sometimes find myself in a mess in this technology then post, convinced i need help. But then, being rabidly proactive.....start troubleshooting myself. That is my default mode in most arenas....to defend against helpnesness, fear and related things

I can often, not always, with lots of commitment, focus and work, figure it out on my own.....tho I never think I can at first.

Whille I have been consciously ambivalent about what ends up being---never starts out to be-- the threads I think you refer to....I do nothing with alacrity....almost like a diary as it turns out.....I thought about it A LOT, iand came to, just maybe, these might both inform...and inspire others to be more pro active and autonomous witnessing the autnonomous struggle by a fellow member. Perhaps a new paradigm to explore!

I think about everything, ever second.....and I am sorry, if this really was about me, esp if it upsets you....and, if so, you might now understand it a bit better.

    I sure hope!

And always remember, we are each unique. No two humans alike. Isn't that the most wondrous thing? We are a collective of individuals. INCLUDING YOU!!!

And I hope you keep an open mind in all events! I think there are few greater blessings.:)

Senior Member, Geek & Super Geek are based solely on the no. of posts made and not on their content.

The ability of a member is reflected in their Reputation rating - the green squares below Computer Experience. Reputation 'points' are awarded by other members who have received accurate help and guidance from a particular member. The system is not as well used as it might be.

Note - negative reputation may also be given.

Pete, i hope I'm wrong, but I think---struck me suddenly-, he may be referring to jilly in some of my unplanned diary threads.-I am still shaking a bit, but I posted and did my best to explain.

Let me be the first to apologize if I offended anyone in BBS!
I am a self taught computer person and have found BBS to be the best forum for me to read others problems and if I run across that same problem I know where to find the answer.

Occasionaly I know the answer to others problems and put my 2 cents in but I let them know, from the gitgo, that I am not a senior member, technician or computer geek.

To Arie, Pete and the rest of the staff at BBS keep up the great work you are doing and Have a Safe & Happy New Year.

    Pls read my post!

    NO Offense TAKEN!!!

When it SUDDENLY struck me you might have been referring to me, I got VERY nervous because I have been aware that for me, here, sometimes, always unplanned... things unfold atypically...but all of it is an authentic reflection of who I am and how I do/see/deal with things as an individual.

Growing into the individual one really is, I observe, often takes courage, and, since I am not a combat-oriented person, but aware of most things, I worry more than most.

So bottom line, your unexpected for me post was a gift to me! Cause, after the initial OMG, OMG…..it gave me the privilege of explaining as accurately as I could, that which I came to worry some might not understand.

Get that I felt I had offended YOU.
    It is all good!!!!

And again, the thingy you wondered about, in no way reflects expertise. e.g., someone can be a total novice and also a senior member.

    Healthy, Happy New Year!
