Every time is run this program, I always get the following results:

    Started file scan
    ==================
    Other file:C:\WINDOWS\Cookies\MyID@servedby.advertising[1].txt
    Doubleclick file:C:\WINDOWS\Cookies\MyID@doubleclick[1].txt
    Other file:C:\WINDOWS\Cookies\MyID@fastclick[2].txt

    File scan result:
    Suspicious files found:3

Anyone know what this is telling me?

Of course, I get the listing of active processes.

    Thanks

Those are cookies set by advertising websites. Even if you remove them with Ad-aware, they will reappear the next time you surf. If they're a concern to you, get something like SpyBlocker and you'll never see another one (or many ads either).

    md2lgyk,

I thought it was probably spyware, just didn't know for sure. Also, don't know if I should be concerned about them. You're right, everytime I remove them, they re-appear when surfing.
I'll investigate the spyblocker you've suggested.

    thanks

Take a look at this. What it does is to add a list of PITA domains to your restricted sites list which has the effect of, inter alia, blocking cookies from those domains. It works well, is free, requires no third party software and Eric regularly updates the list.

Seems like a good program, but since it only work with IE it's useless to me. SpyBlocker works with any browser.

Another way to block cookies w/o third party software:

start > control panel > Internet options > security tab

click red restricted sites button than sites - add for example:
doubleclick.com, valueclick.com, etc. This works with ANY cookie.

the wildcard designation (*) in front of the cookie id will be added; you will see it the next time you click on your entries.

    Regards - Charles
