BBS took a poll to see what others were using for their AV.
I can't seem to find it and I am looking for an AV program that will not empty my wallet nor fill up my computer.
Would like to see the poll of other users to help me decide (including the free ones)

Avira Antivir Personal, Its Free and it done a better job then others that I've paid for.
Started using it when I lived in Germany say around 1997 to 2002. Then started using it again, last year. Its free, so it worth a try!

Hi fellow golfer, try Avast Free. Has worked trouble free with me for 2 years on 3 home comps and about 10 months on 2 others. We recently had a glitch which was sorted very quickly by Avast who had sent wrong update info. They generally get good feedback from users. Not a resource hog or flash page pop ups like I struck with Avira. You just renew the licence key (Free) once every 12 months. Neil.:D

How did you get the Security Center to recognize Avast as an AV?
Mine shows red highlighted and states I must update but when I do nothing happens it still is highlighted red. I am using Vista Home Edition.
