Sometime in the last few weeks, the mouse's forward and back stopped working. Even if I refine it as ALT+Left arrow etc, it still does not work. It is not the mouse and I tried the same mouse on an XP computer and the back/forward work.

There are others reporting the same issue with Win 7.

    Logitech is of no help.

I downloaded those same drivers. I have my mouse set for left handed use. After I installed the drivers everrytime I started or restarted it switched my mouse back to right handed. So I unstalled the drivers and the mouse works fine.

I have re-defined the mouse click to be top-of-page and that one works as advertised.

Something has changed (maybe with the last set of MS updates). The forward/back options no longer work with Explorer and the browsers.

The only software I have added recently is Expression Web 3.

I solved the problem by cleaning the wheel portion of the optical mouse. Rather than opening the mouse, I used alcohol and compressed air.
