After recently removing Norton IS 2010 and installing Sunbelt Vipre I found that the main page of my ISP [www.eclipse.net.uk/] would display only in html.
Although my existing fFavourites links to my login page on the same site is OK.

I suspect that the problem page may have been open at ome stage of the changeover.

I have cleared browsing history several times and tried tying in web address rather than use favourite link with no success. Nor can I see that the new security programme Vipre is blocking the site.

I beleive that IE8 has a cache somewhere on my computer; how do I find this folder and would deleting its files help?

    Suggestions please.

I'm not sure what you mean by that - all web pages are in html. Are you inferring that you see the html code as opposed to the 'normal' page?

BTW it displays perfectly for me - using Vipre too.

    Two suggestions ....

Run the Norton Removal tool and run it. A simple uninstall of Norton leaves no end of remnants littered around everywhere.

Then download CCleaner & uncheck all default settings bar Internet Explorer and ensure that .dat files are checked.
