I have a couple questions since I'm a network nOOb.

I have a new TS machine at a Data Center where we lease servers from. I had requested the 35 CALS to be per user thinking that it would give us more flexibility since the actual users float from office to office...and or might use a home pc.

But, apparently the DC set the CALS to per device...Will that be hard for them to fix this?

Next question - Don't I need to setup 35 Windows Users and make them members of the Remote Desktop Group?

Last - do I still get the two free Remote connections that comes with Windows on Top of the 35 CALS?

    Thanks in advance;)

Looks like I found the answer to two out of three:

Change the Licensing Mode in Terminal Services Configuration to Per User. To do this, follow these steps:

Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Terminal Services Configuration.
Click Server Settings, and then double-click Licensing Mode.
Change the Licensing Mode to Per User, and then click OK.

Currently, Windows Server 2003 does not manage User CALs. This means that even though there is a User CAL in the license server database, the User CAL will not be decremented when it is used. This does not remove administrators from End User License Agreement (EULA) requirements to have a valid terminal server (TS) CAL for each user. Failure to have a User CAL for each user, if Device CALs are not being used, is a violation of the EULA.
