Logs are processed in order received, and will take up to a few days to be addressed.

    G'day PCBugfixer
First can't open Security Center in Control panel. Security center icon in systray shows red X, but will not open. Gives brief hourglass icon & then no action.

MS update is set to download ONLY, and manually install. Can't see where an auto re-boot may have been set there either.

Only schedulled task is Adaware update twice a week. The reboot happens daily.

More indication Malware might be involved.

    Tony...
amp.sys and ampse.sys seem to be part of Authentium Command antivirus package.

There are several logs at other sites online which show these 2 files having the same creation dates.

Can't open Security Center from Control Panel.

    NOw what to do.

    Arie,

I did run the scan as you suggested, but the post seems to have been removed from the Malware forum???

Do you have any other suggestions as to why the system reboots every day & I can't open Security Center?
