I want to use the keyboard only (no mouse) to shut down Windows 7. I go to Start, but there doesn't seem to be any way to use a keystroke to Shut Down. Any ideas?

Press the windows key to bring up the start menu, then the right arrow, then the right arrow key again. Then use the up and down arrows to select the one you want. If the power button in the start menu is set to shut down the computer, you only need to press the right arrow once to select it, then press enter.

If you get in there and decide you don't want to shut it down, press esc to get out of it.

Thank you so much. After fiddling with it a bit more, I discovered this exact solution. Thanks for the help.
