I have Internet Explorer 8 on my Windows XP computer. I don't like Internet Explorer 8. It has three bars on top of the screen that I cannot get rid of. I used to have Internet Explorer 6 on my computer. Is there any way that I can get rid of Internet Explorer 8 and re-install Internet Explorer 6 on my computer? Thank you very much. abm

To attempt to return to IE 6 - which is possible, but longwinded depending on which Service Pack you have on XP and when IE 7 was loaded - would be very unwise. Securitywise IE 6 is extremely vulnerable and so full of holes that it is not worth considering - unless you wish to put your computer at risk.

I assume you have right clicked adjacent to the Home icon or Tools > Toolbars and unchecked those that you do not require?

I suggest you get used to IE8. IE6 & 7 are both more vulnerable to security issues.

Otherwise start using the latest Firefox instead.
