Image Persistence in lcd monitor

I read about it from wiki. My question is if I use the aspect control to switch to 4:3 ratio in a wide screen lcd monitor*, what will be the effect of image persistence? For people who do not know, it is similar to "burn out" in CRT monitor.

I hope that some people have some experience about it rather than just through online reading( which I already did ).

* some older games need 4:3 ratio to look good.

 

really never seen this on anything but a shop till monitor where the image is always the same so unless you put the game on pause for a week i doubt you'd see any image persistence problem
