    Hi everyone,

    First time poster here, hoping someone out there might be able to help me with a problem that's currently driving me slightly mad.

    I use my computer primarily for making music with a piece of music production software called Cubase. It has worked fine for a long time but now, when I try to start the programme, I first of all get an error message that says:

    "Error
    [0000] Unknown request "

    I have to click on the "x" in the corner of this message about ten times before it goes away. As soon as it does, i get another message that says:

    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!

    Programme C:\Program Files\Steinberg\CubaseSX\Cubasesx.exe

    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. "

    Anyone have any clue what this means or how I go about fixing the problem? Any help or advice greatly appreciated. I'm using XP Service Pack 3 by the way.

    Thanks very much
    Neill

    Oh, should have mentioned I did that. They couldn't do much, they said it was a problem with windows, not the software. They weren't much help.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks!
