I want to transfer files from Win ME ( not online) to Win7 which is online. Most of the files are pictures. Any ideas?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

    Use the 'normal' methods .....

Burn to CD, copy to Win 7 computer.

Copy to external USB drive, copy to Win 7 computer.

Your post suggests to me that you have no backup of your important and probably irreplaceable data :)

If you have physical access, as in they are on a desk in front of you, connect them using an ethernet patch cord via the RJE45 ports. Most ports are smart enough to figure out the necessary crossover. Assign the cards addresses on the same subnet and then share the drive/files in question. Use 'map network drive' in Windows explorer to connect to the other machine. The network neighborhood may find the machine, or not. Either way, you can name the other system like this: \\Acomputer\C to get to the C: drive in Acomputer. The NET USE command also works.
    Then drag and drop.
Otherwise, USB thumb drive or CDdrom are two methods...
