    W7 Ultimate.

Upper left corner of any open window. A double-click used to close the
window. Apparently its does not do this anymore or am i missing something?

    thanks,

Works for me with Win7 Pro. I use a solid (no transparency glitz) via the Aero Theme for my title area of each window. I don't see the options but a double click closes any kind of window.

HOLD your mouse pointer down in the upper left corner and you will see the Menu or just double click to close. Never even noticed this untill you mentioned it. :)

    Same here.

Twenty odd years of Windows and I've always used the 'X' in the top right.
