Resolved unknown account on Live Mail sign in page suddenly appears

    I have a client who when opening the log in page for hotmail finds an unknown account in the listing of accounts. The machine only has one user account but his son and wife each have a hotmail account. This unknown account is something@hotmail

    Not being a hotmail user, I cannot explain this - any thoughts are appreciated

    Maybe a freind of the son logged in on this pc?
    If you click on it does it log in or does it ask for a password?

    with further investigation I found that it was the next door neighbour that happend by yesterday afternoon...

    hmmm... it was the husband asking the question - I'm staying out of that one - I don't fix marriages.

    On a serious note however...

    You may wish to remove that address from your initial post, hotmail domains are easily targeted and even if it isn't the actual username someone elsemay own it.
