I have a PC running XP home. I am considering purchasing a netbook with a data plan through my cell phone provider. I want the netbook because I have no internet access at my boyfriend's house and shoddy connection at work, and wifi is not available at either place. I am trying to avoid having to pay for internet both at my house and on the netbook. Is there a way to connect a PC to a netbook and utilize the netbook's internet access for the PC as well?

If you have dialup for internet access then only the XP Home PC can be used.

The solutions below will only work if you have DSL or any Broad Band Service:

If you have a network hub (They are still around) then you can plug the internet connection into it and also into the netbook and the PC assuming the PC does have a NIC ( Network Interface Card)
in it. The netbook does have a NIC and also Wireless in it.

With the netbook having Wireless built in - if you have DSL or any Broad Band service
then a Wirless Router will work. The PC can plug into the Router and the
netbook can use the wirless after the Router is set up.
