Resolved Win7 Default Program setting problem .rar

    I am very pleased with Win 7 ultimate though have a problem setting defalts. :confused: The extension .rar does not appear on the list of extensions on the Set Association Page. .rar files awaiting extraction are appearing as white sheets, I do have .rar extraction software (alZip) installed and running at startup.
    Any tips to sorting this out will be greatly appreciated.

    If you can fathom it out look at ....

    Windows 7: Register a New File Associations

    or much simpler - if it works :) ....

    Right click on a .rar file > Open and in the dialogue window select 'Select a program from a list of installed programs' > OK. An Open With window opens - select aIZip.
