Please help me. I have a bit of experience troubleshooting driver issues but this one has me beat.

With my LAN cable plugged in my Logitech G35s cause my games and my sound to stutter like a skipping CD. This is random, and very short skips. I can cause the skips to happen more frequently buy mousing over music in my WMP window. When the sound stutters in a game it cause the video to stutter as well.

With my LAN cable unplugged this does not happen at all and I cannot make it happen either. Immediately upon plugging it back in it begins again, worse than before. Hooking up to my router wirelessly does not cause the problem, if I unplug my headphones the built in sound card does not stutter. Logitech G35s have their own built in sound processor and being USB bypass the on-board sound completely.

I have tried Rebooting, reinstalling drivers/software, google, and even a different LAN cable with no luck. I have also disabled all other sound devices. As soon as I hook it back up, the problem is back.

I have no earthly idea why my headphones don't like being hooked up by hardline to my LAN. I never had an issue with vista x64, which is why I am here. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

It sounds like (pardon the pun) you could have a minor short/something on the mobo not grounded properly.

If its a custom built pc, maybe the back splash plate is the culprit.

Or maybe you can move the network adaptor to another slot.
