    Hi all,

I have a client that has a Vista Home Premium laptop and has recently lost the ability to cut/paste and drag/drop. This seems to only affect the windows shell, as Microsoft works will allow cut/paste with the clipboard. When trying to right click and cut and paste it just "dings" when trying to paste. When trying to drag and drop, it shows a green arrow that says "move to the desktop" but it does nothing. I don't know what could cause this, I have tried malware scans, combofix, etc. Can anyone help me figure this out?

    thanks

Any posts with Hijack This logs are usually moved to the Malware forum.

There are items/programs I would uninstall. I suggest you sit down with the client and go through Control Panel -> Programs and Features, uninstall anything that is not required (toolbars, helpers, erasers that load at startup, etc). Why does Picasa want to load at startup? Toolbar updaters?

By the listings "(no name)...(no file) ", things have been removed before. Were they "surgically" removed?

My opinion, back it up and...

    Matt
