    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

Any particular circumstances under which the computer freezes - e.g when playing a game or some other specific operation?

It could be down to overheating - when did you last dedust the interior?

You will need to open the case - with the computer powered down - and blow out any accumulated dust with a can of compressed air. Pay particular attention to the heat sink on the CPU, generally a finned aluminium block with a fan mounted on top. Do not attempt to remove this, but clean out the dust carefully using a non-metallic fine stick such as a coctail stick and blow it away. Be careful not to dislodge any of the connections or touch the motherboard components.

If dust is not the problem there may be an issue with the hard drive - that can be tested out using the hard drive manufacturer's disk diagnostic software .....

    Disk Diagnostic Software ....

    ExcelStore

    Hitachi/IBM

    Samsung

    Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum

    Western Digital

You should be able to find the make of the drive using SIW - look under Hardware > Storage Devices

OTOH it could be a problem with the PSU - Power Supply Unit.

No easy answer - just a process of elimination.

If I remember correctly the E310 had a cooling fan duct with a 120mm fan. Sometimes the duct, fan and intake screen get clogged with dust, hair and other ****. The fans have been known to fail. Clean it well as stated and make sure the fan runs after cleaning it.
