    Hi all,

Every time, without exception, when I drag a URL to my Desktop, it's an IE icon and when I click on it, it opens in IE "” not SeaMonkey2.

    How do I fix this?

Goto Start Menu -> Control Panel ->Add Or Remove Programs -> Set Program Access And Defaults -> Custom

Click the icon to the right of "Custom ", to expand the category

You will see Internet Explorer and other installed browsers listed under "Choose a default Web browser" . Select "Mozilla" (Suite), "SeaMonkey" or "Mozilla Firefox ".

    Click Apply

    Hi Tom,

That was the first thing I did because (from another post) when I installed SeaMonkey 2.0 to test, both 1.1.18 and 2.0 were default browsers, which lead to problems.

I had to go to Folder Options\File Types and change "Internet Shortcut" to SeaMonkey.

My question is: why? When I installed SM 1.1.18 on a clean machine I didn't have to do anything, but with 2.0, I do.

Who knows? SM1.1.8 was consistent with the old NS7, while SM2.0 is derived from Firefox.
