When opening any web page, the page is displayed at around 50% of what it should be. This is not to be confused with the full screen feature of IE8. I have attempted to drag the sides of the page to fill my display screen, but this setting does not remain. How do you edit IE8 to always open at 100% of the viewable area of the screen? Thanks.

Right click on the IE8 icon and select in the run box what you want maximized or normal window. If it is set to normal window you can drag the size to what you want, then close the window and reopen IE and it will open at whatever size you sized it too.

Yes, I did that and viewed all available tabs from General to Advanced. On which tab is run box located? Thanks again.

Right click the Desktop icon > Properties - Run - use dropdown to select Normal, minimised or maximised - screenshot.

IE is funny in this reapect - I have used IE New Window Maximiser for years - works with IE 8 and Windows 7
