Hi Philos, welcome to WindowsBBS. :D

You should have a bar at the top of your browser window with a message saying you understand the warning but ignore. If this is not the case please post details of your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera etc) and we can assist.

I heard you the first time ;)

I don't use IE but I'm currently googling, in the mean time someone else may have your answer.

Hi Philos. Try this, open Internet Explorer and click Tools< Internet Options< Security tab. Click the Internet Zone so its highlighted then click the default level button. Repeat this process for the Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, and Restriced Sites Zones. When all of the zones are set to their default level click apply and ok. Restart Internet Explorer and then try downloading the program.

    Hi all,

I'm sure glad I ran across this post. I was trying to DL Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 Bootstrapper and I kept getting the same error message as Philos.

Evan's advice did the trick for me. Thanks.

Thats great that I was able to help you out jpChris. Since you said that you had the same issue as Philos, if this solution worked for you, it will probably work for Philos as well.

    Hi Evan
Well, we won't know until he posts back, huh? :)

All I care about is that the answer worked and I didn't have to spend a ton of time looking for the "cure ".

(if I said "Thanks" again, would I be considered a toady?) :p

Thats true that we won't know until he posts back assuming he will. I am happy that I saved you hours of searching for the solution to your problem. But even if you had the same problem you probably would have posted a new thread on this topic anyway regardless of this topic being created or not. :)

Maybe, maybe not. I always search first to see if someone else has\had the problem before I ask the same question again. :p
