    Hi all,

As some of you may remember I was going through major brain damage trying to slipstream an XP CD. (entirely my fault for not "getting it ")

Well, there's a couple of things that are screwy, but that's for another post. Let's just say for now that I didn't have these issues installing from my original disk.

Anyway, I like my 60's USA cursors and icons. I have my W98 disk and I found the .CAB file I needed and copied it to my E: partition. Now all I need to do is find out how to unpack\extract the file.

I've tried an extract command from the Command Prompt and Run, but it didn't work. The only thing I got was another copy of the .CAB file.

So, how do I unpack the file? It's already copied to my HDD.

    jp,

    Hope this helps:
To open the CAB files in Windows, click the Start button and then click Run. Now enter the following command and then press OK: regsvr32 cabview.dll Now you simply double click a CAB file to view and extract its contents.

    Hi SP,

Worked like a charm! Thanks! However, I noticed that the file names aren't spelled out; eg, "the60'~2.wav" instead of "The 60's USA ding.wav ".

Is there a way to fix this instead of having to write down all the ones I want?
