Resolved How record from microphone and save in file

I have the microphone plugged into the red/pink mike jack and the audio wizard shows everything works fine.

1. How can I record my voice and save it in a file?

2. same question if I want to use line-level input source (blue jack)

 

Click Start.
Scroll up to Programs.
> Accessories.
>Entertainment
Then Open Sound Recorder.

 

It depends how much control you want over your recordings.

I use a freeware program called Audacity.

You can also use it to save into lots of different formats as well.
