Started the win7 (64 bit) install (update from vista) , it got thru step 2
    (Gathering files and settings).
    Then attempted to reboot.

Got the message "windows7 - No Emulation System Type = 00" then the
message about Press any key to reboot from CD/DVD.....
    and it hung up!

I press the enter key and nothing happens...
Could use some advice since i cannot get the pc to boot.
    I'm stuck.

    thanks,
    savagcl

    Try pressing the zero key.
And better yet, do a clean install instead of an upgrade.

    TonyT, Thanks for replying!

    I'll try the zero key.

I bought the upgrade ultimate because it would (?) keep all the stuff.

If i can impose a bit further - if the system is "hung-up ", how can i restart
    itfrom scratch?

Or do i have to re-install vista (of course, then everything will be gone
    anyway.

    Appreciate it,
    savagcl

    zero didn't work but-

I removed the win7 cd and powered down then restarted, put the cd in
real quick and it continued the setup.

Got to give credit where its due - a gold star for MS!

    Thanks for the help,
    savagcl
