.net frameworks installation\uninstallation

hi guys.

i got .NET frameworks questions.

if i look at the add\remove programs i can see i have net frameworks ver 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 SP1. however i tried installing NBA 2K10 today and during installation it tried to install frameworks 2.0 and failed due to the version it found was incompatible with the version the game tried to install. i couldnt install framework 2.0 the game tried to install for me.
i cant run the game and i think it might be connected to this issue.

so -
1) should i try and un-install the framework i have now on my machine in order to install the framework2.0 the game prompt me to install?
is there another way to do this other than uninstall the NET frameworks?

2) if i DO need to uninstall NET frameworks, which of the versions should i uninstall? all of them? only 2.0? cuz when i tried to uninstall NET frameworks 2.0 i couldnt. i got a message telling me windows cannot uninstall it because there are other applications that use it.
how do i uninstall NET frameworks than?

3) if u need to uninstall all NET frameworks versions than how do i do it? in a particular order? first 3.5, then 3.0 then 2.0 and lastly 1.0? does it matter!?

4) if i successfully uninstalled all NET frameworks than what do i need to install afterwards? do i need to install all NET frameworks versions?! all 4 of them? pr can i only install version 3.5 SP1 and that's enough?!

p.s. - im using win XP, SP3.

 

Try installing the latest java, adobe shockwave and adobe flashplayer also if possible update netframe 2.0

 

If you have trouble with the netframework uninstalls , if there was major corruption
, then you can install and then uninstall
Version 1 and 2 are distinct and different from each other ( 1.1 exists as well)
If needed you can get download installs at oldversion.com
