Hi! I use two partitions, C & D, on my hard drive. C is a little bigger then D. I put my installed programs on the D partition and of course parts of the program installations go on the C partition. My question is would I be better off increasing my C size and putting everything on it and just using D for my pictures, documents, etc.? Thanks.

    Yeah, that's what I do.
Operating system and programs on C and all user created data on D.
It makes reinstalling the OS a breeze.

    Good Luck

That is the way to go :)

With the OS on C:\ and Programs on D:\ in the event of a reformat of C:\ all programs will need to be reinstalled so nothing is gained. Also note that not all programs give the option to install anywhere but C:\.

Additionally I reccommend imaging your OS drive and maintaining a current image so that in the event of a disaster the image can be reloaded either to the existing drive or to a new drive in a matter of minutes - 30 or so.
