I have just purchased a computer running Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit. I have set up my Outlook 2007 to work with my Google email account. I have carefully checked the settings in Outlook 2007 and it is set to leave messages on the server.

When I check my email using Outlook 2007, it downloads the messages and removes them from the server.

Am I overlooking something? Am I misunderstanding something, or is this some kind of bug? If it is a bug, how do I report it and, even better, resolve this?

Looking for any helpful ideas or possible solutions.

I have been reading various postings here and it is great to see a polite and respectful community here. Glad to be your latest new guy. :D

Thank you! The solution seems to work fine (just tried a test message and copy did stay on the server).

My apologies for posting to the wrong thread. While the correct on is obvious now, I did not spot it when was doing the posting. I will try to be more careful in the future.
