Resolved canon DR-2050C scanner not recognized

    I reloaded this PC from the ground up: Replaced OS and all software. Now I cannot get the scanner to be recognized by the scanner software. It did run on this machine before. IT's a Canon DR-2050C with a USB connection.

    Running Dell Pentium4, 1.5GB RAM, 40GB HD, Win XP Pro SP3. Any ideas would be welcome.

    Did you go to Canon's web site and look for new drivers?

    Steve- good idea, I actually found some very new drivers there. But I went back to the user and she had already gotten the machine working, somehow. So let's call it Resolved. thanks.
