Hi So there i was not knowing what to do do i stick with Vista or go to Wondows 7. I suppose the £140 price tag for Windows 7 did it so i bought one at the going rate £70. Took me 6 hours to load and transfer as 7 was seing a file that vista did not and no way would it proceed. In the end i found the files and away it went.
I thought my worries were over when the Windows 7 came up but when i tried to run most of my anti virus, photo and copy programmes all i got was cannot verify the digital signal for this file. Seems it is everywhere the best answer that i have had is that the programmes have not been adapted for Windows 7 but work ok in Vista.
Why did not Mr Microsoft tell me that and i would not have bothered. Last night i went through all my programmes on the compatability test you should see the results even the likes of Nero and Roxio, Real player and C Cleaner fail and i can't use them. My only hope is that they can sort it out ASAP.
Very Peed off and back to Vista i go.:mad:

Did you run the Win 7 Advisor before installing it? And from what I understand - the installation will even tell you it found applications that won't work when the install is finished...

Its up to the individuale companies like Roxio to make apps that work with Win 7...I thnk their newest one does work. Is that what you have?

Looks you have more problems then just applications not working.

If they run under Vista, most would run under Windows 7.

Try a clean install instead of an upgrade.

Hi Just like to thank Aire for his advice that i had a lot wrong and a clean install was the way to go. I tried to fix but it turned into " robot wars " as every major move i could make had a sheild on it and i had no working administrive privalidge. Lot better now and faster roll on. Thanks again.

Well i am into day 4 of the clean install and no problems at all. I keep telling myself the nasty stuff must have been in the back up so i am downloading fresh all i can.
It is a far better programme than Vista already and in a couple of months when i find what it really can do i am sure the money will be well spent.
One last point every time i boot it up it does that fast, not thinking 2-3 minuties about it - Vista. That is Majic I say and the speed wow. Thanks again for the help. Rytona.
