    This is so bizarre.

Have been using the same ISP for well over a year and accessing one of my brokers website.

Last night closed (I am using Firefox) browser and saved before closing so that all the same websites and tabs are displayed when I open it again.

This morning I am able to access every part of the internet, mail, other sites etc etc, but I can't get into this one site.

I have tried cleaning out the cache, cookies, disabled AV, firewall, restaring browser, resetting modem/router, re-booting my laptop but all to no avail.

Then I pinged the website and got the following error:
Ping: Transmit failed, error code 31

Guys, this is killing me, any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

    www.morrisonsecurities.com

    Its q stock broking firm.

Strange thing is, it just started working later on in the day, meanwhile i was getting friends within Australia & overseas to try and get onto the site, and each one of them was successful.

So anyone ever experience something like this??

    Perhaps a DNS issue.

When site IP's change it could take up to 48 hours for the changes to propogate through the internet though some users wouldn't even notice.

    or...

The website had a problem and others had it cached either locally or ISP side.

    or...

    Your ISP had conectionn issues...

I could go on but you get the picture.

There's several reasons for this but it looks like it was server side not your system, anyway it's working now so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I could only think it was something with my ISP, what, who knows?

As I mentioned never had a probem with this ISP with this site since I have been with them.

Most of the people i got to try it had never been on that site before so they could not have had it cached.

Its been working fine now for the past 3 days.

    Hoping it stays that way.

    Cheers

I guess you missed this part

Just because your friends haven't used the site doesn't mean an ISP won't cache it. ;)

Ok point taken about the caching locally, but I am an Australia living in Bangkok, so I got friends here in Bangkok to access the site.

Thats what i meant i had people in sydney as well as here in Bangkok try access the site.

I was the only one at any given time that could not access the site.

I emailed the the broker and they said the site had not been down or experienced any problems whatsever.

    All good in the end.

    Cheers
