Resolved Firefox won't open homepage

    Firefox will not open ny home page, it had been working fine, when I open. I get a narrow toolbar, which does not function, aind my desktop icons show. I rebooted, uninstalled amd reinstalled Firefox without results. the computer is 8 weekz old ans internet explorere has never worked on it.
    My computer is a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with Vista.

    If you open Firefox, and get only a small toolbar, try to click on the box next to the X (close), which is on the upper right. I believe that this happened to me once. After doing that the full page will be restored. The problem, never, reoccurred.
    I am curious to know which version you have, and if you allow Firefox to update itself, automatically (not a good idea).

    And that overlooks the issue of firefox's profiles. Now might be a great tme to learn about them, create a new one, and try again with that:

    Thanks for your suggestions. I finally got it open by using the maximize button, but I'm not sure it's running correctly. My warranty doesn't cover software unless I pay for it. I used the run method for profile manager but i'm not computer savy enough to know if I did it correctly. I did get to the box and renamed it. I'll see how it does.
