When I try to install Windows XP Proffessional 32bit on the laptop it just crash.
Same problem with Windows Vista. But when I install Windows XP Proffessional 64bit it installs correctly. Why did this happen?

Steve, no, after the files copied to the hard drive from the xp cd - when it says starting windows (its still in the setup menu ) it gives a blue screen and gives errors - windows cannot continue do to harware incompatibility, then you can only reboot, I've tried sp1 and sp2 - the same happens, then I tried XP x64 edition with SP2 and it worked but I don't want to use the x64 edition since I have programs thats does not support 64 bit. need to use normal xp 32bit.

It's a typical MS blue screen crash, cannot make out the text.

Have a look at the error(s) listed in the setuperr.log. This is the Windows XP setup error log file located in the %systemroot% folder (usually C:\).
