Being the most popular type of external connection, in this months poll we'll see the total amount of USB devices users have connected to their computer.

If you have a USB hub connected to one of your USB ports, count the number of devices connected to the hub.

I have an External USB drive, but I only use it once a month to create an image backup. The rest of the time it is locked away in my safe.

I also have a wireless Xbox 360 controller I use occasionally on Google earth, but I haven't plugged it in, as I don't have a spare port on my (4-port) hub.

I just love these mundane thingies! I LUV THEM.

    Re this desktop, total seven:

1& 2) Printers: Epson Stylus color 740i---they were made for MACs-- & HP Photosmart P1000, both fabulous, neither new....meaning both beautifully made, found both in the garbage of this building.
    3) My amazing no money ($7) Sunbeam optical mousey with the red LED (I have these in the blue LED too to match the eyes on my Alienware lappy. My mice are always on the left as I am a Southpaw.)
    4) Cherry--made in Germany-- KB I got new in factory box on ebay for $20.....retails for $80. When I saw it and used it, I ran back and got the only other one the vendor had.
    5) Digital camera
    6) Canon scanner
    7) Magjcjack VOIP phone....amazing invention and practically free.

This leaves me with one open USB port in the front of the tower; the Magicjack occupies the second port in the front, so I can move it from system to system with ease.

Note: I am adverse to multifunction periperals. Inherently, their lifespans are between 1 and minus 3. But the profligate people who live in this building adore them and buy them like crazy, I see the discarded boxes. They then discard the made to last, stand alone older peripherals; I find them, do any little repairs needed....often none at all---and I use and cherish them.
