You searched for something and found it. Now you want to know why you found it:confused:

Zeek, you'll have to get familiar with the differents fonts used in Windows and realize that a capital eye may look like an ell to you.

You must be sure you are searching all of the files on your drive. Check to see if you are hiding System files and Registered files. Go to "My Computer" > Tools > Folder Options > View and check/unchech the proper items. Check "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide operating system files ".

Your options may not say exactly what I typed but you'll see something close enough.

18 miles NE of Mt. Vernon, near Skillet Fork, in Gods country, where we have to put britches on the chickens to keep the hoot owls from breedin' them.

OK, try "My Computer" > View > Options > View > blah, blah, blah, you'll see it sooner or later. I don't have that system anymore on my box and don't currently have a machine with it to refer to.

It's been a couple years since I ran Win98 and my "Forgetter" is kickin' into passing gear. :D

OK, then now look in your Search field under Options and make sure you aren't restricting the search to match the exact "Case ". Generally that isn't a good idea.

You may have some files missing from Windows. You may need to consider reinstall Windows over the top of itself. You could also try running SFC.exe but it can be problematic when not used properly.

Meantime, go to START > RUN > and type, taskmgr.exe > [press enter] and see if the task manager screen comes up. If so, you can use that for a workaround.

I have no further to add regarding your other problem with the Search applet.
