I a Dell D620 laptop that is refusing to pick up an IP address from my network. When on static settings, it sees the network but if it is put on DHCP it returns 0.0.0.0 as IP address, 0.0.0.0 as Subnet Mask, and 255.255.255.255 as the DHCP address which is wired.
I have done alot of troubleshooting and other PCs are connecting fine with the same cable and port, thus isolating the cable and port. The Wireless is working.
Running ipconfig/renew returns this: An error occured while renewing interface Local Area Connection: Access denied

i would appreciate if you could assist with your wealth of experience
