Solved Computer constantly rebooting

[Resolved] Computer constantly rebooting

I have a frustrating problem with my computer:
I had to reinstall XP due to not being able to boot-up. I renamed the windows to windows.old by hooking up another hard-drive to the computer and did the re-installation.

Since the installation I am constantly having the problem of the system just rebooting constantly and haphazardly. I am pretty sure that my system may have become infected prior to the reinstallation but since this problem I want to ensure that my system is clean before checking to see if I'm having another problem or both.
Additionally, I am presently operating in Safe Mode to get this information out.
Furthermore my hard-drive would still have remnants of previous programs in that I have not yet reinstalled because of this current problem. I am also unable to get Internet Explorer 8 installed so not Internet Explorer browser is presently working (just more information).

As was stated earlier the computer keeps rebooting while operating in Normal Mode so I sent off the information while operating in Safe Mode but the DDS log was done while I was in Normal Mode.
Sometimes it stays a while before it reboots allowing me enough time to run some operations.

 

Ok, thanks - I will go back to the other forum and report this and see if we can diagnose and fix my problem.
