Windows Vista Vista crash with blue screen!

I had a system crash with the blue screen of death. System rebooted before I could read details. I do have a mini dump file in C:windows, not sure how to upload its contents to you for analysis.

Are there any other logs or files we might need for analysis?

I plan on doing a clean install of windows(after getting some vital instructions on how to do this) but would still like to know what caused this and If it is something that I can easily repair.

Did you just have the one blue screen? It can well be a one-off. If so, don't start taking any action, only if it starts happening more often. Analysing a one-off crash could well be fruitless.

 

Yes it happened only once! Will do nothing unless the problem persists.

Cool, as I was saying, one-off or even the occasional second or maybe third one can be overlooked.

I could probably "invoke" a crash on my Vista computer if I wanted to, not that I want to

View them with a little scepticism at first, it may be just a "wrong place at the wrong time" circumstance.
