The older versions of Lavasoft's AdAware would clear the Recent Items list when doing a sweep.

    The newest version does not.

Is there a way within Vista for me to clear the Recent Items list?

    Thanks in advance,
    Rick

You could try using spybot which is not only a free anti-virus of sorts but allows the user to examine start-ups, running processes, and more importantly for you remove usage tracks IE most recent items.

If you wish to remove most recent items from displaying at all or just limit the number you can right click on the task bar, click properties, uncheck "store and display a list of recently opened files/programs ". This will remove all entries, and if you want it back you can undo the changes.

    Hope that helps

    *takes notes* XD
