    Hey All,
Does anyone know if there is a reg hack to change the company name that shows up in system properties on a Win2000 pc?
If you right click on My Computer and go to properties, general tab will show things like windows version, service pack....etc. I'm trying to change the Registered to: information.

    Thanks,
    RPC

On my computer, I go to the the registry and do a search for the Current registered user and then change the value.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
    entVersion

Now in the right-pane look for the value "Registered Owner "

Double-click this value and it should then let you enter a new value (your name)

Would it be the same as yours? I'm not running 2000?

    *edit*

    Skip that........found this:
There is a registry Key you have to modify. If you goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE]Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion. There should be a Registered Organization and a Registered Owner Key which you can modify to change that.
