    Dears, I have a challenge in my hands which need urgent assistance from you guys. I have a new HP Proliant DL380 G5 server to be setup. It came with Smart Start but no pre-installed OS and I need to:
    1. Setup RAID 1+0 {create 2 logical drives (C & D)out of this}
    2. Creat Boot Volume and ensure server boots from it
    3. Setup RAID 5 with 3 drives {2 logical drives (E & F) out of this}
    4. Setup FTP on the server
    5. Setup ILO
    6. Install windows server 2008.
    I will appreciate a detailed steps that must be taken to achieve this and if there are links to visit, that will be welcome too.

    Hi wilon,
    We usually concentrate on end-user questions.

    You will need to need to find the manual/User Guide for the Smart Start which is most likely on the same disk or in the menu when you start it. You probably have disks for the RAID and those will have a manual/instructions.

    Look up your model at the HP website www.hp.com/support HP have an extensive knowledgebase and will quite likely cover most of the system set up.

    Unless someone has set up exactly the same system, it might be hard to to give you any direction.

    Try searching on the MS Technet website.
