Resolved I. E. 8 doesn't seem right

    As an experiment disable ZoneAlarm - Windows firewall will take over and try again.

    That seemed to work, got signed on, then re-enabled Zone Alarm and all seems well.

    Although the original problem in this thread was resolved, there is still a larger problem with IE8 and that involves this software locking up my computer. Happens aboutr once a week and nothing I do seems to resolve the issue so I have uninstalled IE 8 and am now again using IE6 with no problems.

    Anyone have a fix for the IE8 problem because as I read through the various threads, it would appear that I am far from being the only one with this problem.

    What sites are you visiting when it locks up? Are you sure it's your browser and not the site causing it?

    I don't have to be visiting any site. It locks up with just the home page showing. Home page, by the way, is Google.
