Resolved [Internet Explorer 7 doesn't always start when launched]

I have IE7, Vista. When clicking on IE the program does not open all the time. When it does not I have to go to Task Manager to find that it is not running and close the program out & try again. Have to do this two or three times before IE will open. Help please.

 

For troubleshooting purposes, go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools and click on "Internet Explorer (no add-ons). "

If it starts and runs every time, the problem is most likely with an add-on.

If that's the case, to locate the add-on causing the trouble, get IE to open normally, go to Tools>Manage Add-ons and in the window that opens, look in the Status column. If you're lucky, one will jump out at you as having problems.

If it's not that easy, you can disable all add-ons then re-enable them one by one, closing and reopening IE after each. When IE has trouble, the last add-on you enable is the culprit.
