Resolved Internet explorer has stopped working

    I get messages often that Internet explorer has stopped working. Then is says it will look for a solution & inform me if solution is found., I also get message on my Hallmark Studio 2009 that Hallmark card studio has stopped working. I also can't play some of the downloaded games I have. Error message comes up. I wonder if this is all related with the Internet explorer message. Hoping I can get help in resolving this.......... Thank You

    Guessing that you're using Windows VISTA???

    Does the pc get rebooted on a regular basis or turned off at night?

    Is there anything you can tell about when all of this started?

    Yes I reboot everyday. I am using Vista home edition. This has been going on for at least 6 months. I hope you can help me......Thanks for responding.

    Start IE without add-ons. You can do that by typing iexplore.exe -extoff in Vista's Start Search box and pressing [Enter].

    Does IE run ok without Add-ons?

    I did what you told me & I just got a page with desktop listings on left & the page to the right was blank, just said advanced search & no items match search.

    You probably made a mistake. Copy/paste this in Vista's Start Search box

    Code:
    iexplore.exe -extoff
    Next, click the iexplore.exe -extoff on the Start menu.

    Hi Sissymaria. Now that you are able to run Internet Explorer without add-ons, open Internet Explorer and click Tools< Manage Add-ons and disable all of the add-ons then start re-enabling them one by one until you find the culprit thats causing Internet Explorer to crash.

    Hello,. thanks for responding to my problem. I'm getting the feeling that I might have a Virus even tho I'm current on my Norton & the scans show no problems. After I get message I "m able to stay online. So I'm not sure if it's a crash. The thing I "m trying to find out, is why my Hallmark studio care program will not open & work. I get message "Hallmark card studios has stopped working" I have uninstalled & reinstalled several time. The program always worked in the past, I have managed the add ons & followed you instructions. Again I thank you for you time & help. :)

    internet stopped working message

    Hi again,,,,,, I downloaded Internet 8 & I do get online. I just can't get my Hallmark card studio to work. I get message Hallmark card studio stopped working. I can't figure it out, since I always had Hallmark card studio & it worked with no problem. :confused: Thank's for response......

    Since Internet Explorer now works you may want to start a new thread describing your hallmark card studio software since it doesn't have anything to do with Internet Explorer.
