I am planning to upgrade my laptop memory, it is a Sony VGN-FS750P/W.
    It came with 512MB PC-3200 400MHz DDR2.

My question is, would I be able to use DDR2 PC-4200 or PC-5300? is Sony backward compatible like that?
    Thanks.

Simplest method of determining which memory is compatible with your laptop is to visit Crucial.com and either allow the site to scan the computer or utake the manual route.

    Memory is generally backwards compatible.

    Thank you very much!
They had more info about my RAM than Sony did.
