Which of these do I not need at start up? I am trying to improve the performance of my pc and thought I would start here. Thanks. AlcxMonitor...ctfmon.exe...DeviceDiscoveryHP...HPHmon05...HPHUPD05...hpsysdrv...KBD...LTMSG...OneNote2007ScreenClipperand Launch.lnk...PS2...Recguard...SunJavaUpdateSched...Sunkist2k...TkBellExe...VTTimer. What other tips do you have also that will imprve performance? On the regular I get rid of useless programs, delete temp files, Defrag, and do the free up space on the hard disk stuff on the control panel.

On all my machines, I use WinPatrol to control Startup programds.
At the moment, only my firewall, AV,and 2 Antispyware programs are running on all machines.
Everything else gets started as needed.
