My wife and I bought a new monitor for the computer last night. It works properly at 1024 x 768. However, at higher resolutions, it only displays part of the desktop. I have to move the mouse to the edge of the screen to get the display to scroll to show the other parts of the desktop.

I installed the Dell IN1910N driver with no effect.

The display adapter is SiS 650/651/740/661FX/741/760 series, and the chip type is SiS 661.

If I need to update the display driver, I need to know where I can go to update it.

Well for that monitor you should be able to show a resolution of 1366 x 768 at 60 Hz what resolution are you trying to do?

    Richie,
When I try selecting 1366 x 768 I see only the left hand side of the desktop. I have to put my mouse to the right edge of the screen to get it to scroll to the right hand side of the desktop.

I think the problem you are facing is that the SIS 650 chip does not support wide screen. Assuming that you have a wide screen Monitor.
Your best bet would be to install a video card.
